Picture a room with thousands of individuals facing homelessness, providers from hundreds of agencies coming together to offer their services, hundreds of volunteers helping guests shop through donations. Then picture the last few numbers being called, and the last pair of boots are given away, before the last person is served.
We at HandsOn Northeast Ohio believe that together, we can keep the boots from running out, we can bring the community together to offer crucial services, and we can help our community grow stronger, one person at a time.
If you believe this too, then we need your help. If each person who reads this tags three others, then we can make sure no one leaves without a pair of boots, a scarf, or even shampoo. Use the power of your network, you can tag friends, family, a group you are a part of or a business you know. Share it via email, facebook, twitter, or instagram, using the hashtag #21K21Days and join the movement.
So what are you challenging your three people to do? It can be as simple as inviting a HandsOn Staff member to come speak about the Homeless Stand Down, shopping for items to donate, setting up a box at work, having a competition at school to see which classroom can collect the most donations. Need more ideas? You can always reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org, or keep an eye on our social media for ways you can help during the challenge!
