The AmeriCorps Alums of Northeast Ohio chapter is partnering with Hands On Northeast Ohio to create a community of volunteerism for our alumni. We are currently looking for volunteers to join a leadership group. MISSION AND VISION
AmeriCorps alums are a national network of civic leaders who are actively engaged in shaping their communities. Bound together by a commitment to service, AmeriCorps alums are a transformative power to create a better world for all. The mission of AmeriCorps Alums as an organization is to connect, support and mobilize AmeriCorps alums in order to strengthen our communities and our nation.

AmeriCorps Alums represents the 400,000 alumni of AmeriCorps National Service, who together constitute a powerful force for change in this country. AmeriCorps Alums helps alumni continue to “get things done” by connecting alumni, advancing our commitment to service, supporting and advocating for AmeriCorps programs and building the capacity of alumni to be agents of change in their communities.

Each AmeriCorps alum has different needs and expectations, that is why AmeriCorps Alums is organized around four key areas:

1. Service to Communities: Opportunities for local volunteer service through chapters.
2. Take Action: Advocacy and issue-based policy on both a local and a national level.
3. Support for AmeriCorps: Connect with and support local AmeriCorps programs.
4. Benefits to Members: Job assistance, discounts, advice on using the Education Award, and personal and professional networking

Visit www.americorpsalums.org to register with the Northeast Ohio AmeriCorps Alums chapter. When registering, you should choose Cleveland, OH as your "Alum Home Chapter."  Member categories include “Alum/Current Member” and “Friends of AmeriCorps Alums” with membership levels of Basic (no cost), Premium ($25/yr), or Lifetime ($250).

1. Alum/Current Member: Select this choice if you served or currently serve in AmeriCorps, including AmeriCorps*State, AmeriCorps*National, AmeriCorps*VISTA (also pre-AmeriCorps VISTA), AmeriCorps*NCCC, AmeriCorps EdAward Programs, AmeriCorps Promise Fellows, and any other AmeriCorps programs.
2. Friends of AmeriCorps Alums: This category is for current or former program, commission, & Corporation staff, proud family members of alumni, and other supporters of the National Service movement. Registering with us keeps you connected to the national service movement.
